This six week study (4/11-5/16) will cover Matthew 5-7, Jesus’ most famous teaching. Before gaining entry into the church, a early Christians had to memorize this sermon and recite it.
The resources for this study are the Bible and Sermon On the Mount: a beginner’s guide to the kingdom of Heaven by Amy Jill Levine. In addition, a daily devotion, Toward the Kingdom of Heaven: 40 daily readings on the Sermon on the Mount is available and would be a great study companion.
