Mark Bowman was one of the founders of the Reconciling Congregation Program (now Reconciling Ministries Network) in 1984 and served in a leadership role for the first 15 years He has also served as a church musician in several Chicago area congregations. In 2001, he founded the LGBTQ Religious Archives Network, an online information center on LGBTQ religious history, and serves as its part-time executive director in his retirement.
